Students Come First

Vittoria Rubino is the founder and editor of Concordia’s first daily online news magazine–The Clippings.

The website features local news, events and creative works of students, faculty and staff. As an English major, she is deeply involved in the school including working in the Writing Center and as secretary of Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society in Education.

"I intended for The Clippings to be a vehicle for creativity and as a timely and effective means for communication. I also wanted to implement the news magazine to build a closer-knit community for Concordia" said Rubino.

"This project is my capstone, but I really wanted to create something meaningful and which would have longevity for Concordia, because I feel Concordia has done so much for me - whether it is the institution itself or the professors which helped shaped me into the person I am today."

Her hobbies are drawing, playing sports and shopping. What’s next for Vittoria? She is planning on attending graduate school after Concordia.
