IT Services (ITS) is Concordia’s resource for your technical needs. ITS offers a wide variety of services to the campus community.
ITS operates several computing sites across campus. Sites include the Writing Center, which supports “Writing Across the Curriculum,” and Scheele Memorial Library’s Information Commons. Microsoft Office, Internet access, and printing services are available through any of the computers available to students in the Information Commons. Additionally, the Krenz Academic Center houses a 20-workstation, PC-based instructional lab, and the New Media classroom and production studio are designed for instruction in digital media and content design.
ITS also maintains and offers students personal email accounts and online file storage, online course services through Blackboard, secure access to grades, financial aid and student account information, and Internet access via CCNYNET. CCNYNET is Concordia’s high-speed computing network. Wi-Fi service provides flexible and mobile access to Concordia’s online resources and the Internet, and is available across campus including Scheele Memorial Library, classroom buildings, and residence halls. In addition to Wi-Fi, each residence hall room also Ethernet ports for Internet access as well as cable TV jacks.
More information can be found in the Student Computing Guide or in the frequently asked questions section on this site. Additionally, personal help on the use of these services is provided by experienced computer lab assistants during regular Library hours. Technical advice may also be obtained from the IT Services office located in the Krenz Academic Center, during posted helpdesk hours.
