Question: How are classes scheduled?
All Nursing classes are offered during the day.
Question: When does the program begin?
Each cohort begins in the fall.
Question: How long does the program take to complete?
The program is 15 months; made up of a fall, spring, summer, and a fall semester.
Question: Who makes a good reference?
A current employer or academic advisor would make a great reference. Family members or friends are not able to write recommendations. Reference letters should include skill level and academic ability to succeed in the program.
Question: Is financial aid available?
At Concordia we offer students the options to take out loans to cover the cost of the program as well as a Tuition Management System (TMS). TMS is a program for students who can make a monthly payment and through this program there is no interest. However, you must apply and be approved for TMS.
Question: Do you offer health insurance?
Students can carry their own or purchase health insurance through the College.
Question: Where can I be a nurse?
If you pass the N-CLEX exam and become a registered nurse, you are allowed to practice anywhere in the United States as your certification is transferable to each state.
Question: What GPA do I have to maintain in the program?
Students must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA or you will be on academic probation for one semester. If your GPA is not improved you will be asked to leave the program.
Question: What grade do I need to achieve in each class?
A minimum of a C+ will be considered passing. However, your cumulative GPA will need to remain above a 3.0.
Question: Can I re-take a course if I do not pass?
Students will be able to re-take one course, one time.
Question: Once admitted, is there anything else I need to do?
Yes, once you are accepted into the program you are required to submit a $300 non-refundable deposit to ensure your seat.
Question: Where are clinicals?
Clinicals will be at a variety of places, here are a few: Lawrence Hospital, White Plains Hospital, Burke Rehabilitation, The Wartburg, The Bethel.

Classes are from Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
