The Concordia Master of Science in Business Leadership program empowers students to lead people and organizations in both the private and nonprofit sectors. The program teaches students the leadership, management, problem-solving, communication, staff-development, and entrepreneurial skills needed to become ethical, successful business leaders. The curriculum is applicable to a host of business specializations to develop transferable talent sought in those who will lead organizations in today’s complex marketplace.
Students work individually and in groups on an array of challenging projects to apply traditional and emerging business leadership concepts. Executives, management professionals, seasoned instructors, and business mentors will provide insight and share experiences from the corner office. The curriculum culminates with the completion of a research project or business plan presented to a panel of faculty members and experienced business executives for critical evaluation.
The M.S. in Business Leadership is an accelerated 51-credit program. Up to 18 credits may be waived based on prior satisfactory completion of courses in marketing, management, accounting, economics, and statistics, making a Master’s degree program completion possible in one year.
Designed for flexibility, the curriculum features a mix of in-class and online coursework. Each term is eight weeks in length, with classes conducted on campus Friday evenings and/or Saturdays. In-class sessions are conducted five times per term, with all additional coursework done online. Students will have access to the Blackboard online learning environment, digital library, and text resources to facilitate off-site studies.
